To celebrate `footie finals week` we enjoyed a very special morning tea following the monthly meeting. Members got into the spirit of the occasion and dressed in their favourite team colours. Helen, our super Hospitality Co-ordinator, provided a delightful range of sweet biscuits, cheese and chocolates for us complementing the regular tea, coffee and bickie refreshments.

Our extended Special Morning Tea sessions provide an opportunity for members to mix together, to meet and greet new members and spend time together celebrating our fellowship and friendship and generally having fun!.

However whilst the morning tea is being enjoyed by all, club business still goes on with the collection of names and payments for outings, dine-outs and theatre bookings.

Much to everyones amusement Ann had a really challenging activity planned for the `footie fans`. She set them a sequence of tough physical activities which not only challenged their fitness to be `vocal supporters` for their teams but also their memories to recall the complicated set of exercises required.

After the completing of the `training session` those assembled were awarded oranges to recuperate. David was judged to be the best dressed supporter and was presented with a box of biscuits for his efforts. A draw was then carried out for six `lucky ticket` winners. The winners were Peter Roberts and John Vickers, bottles of wine; David Cotton, chocolates; Kate Unthank and Tony Godbold, cyclamen plants and Rae Hedley a box of hankies kindly donated by Maureen Atkins. Well done one and all.

Our very special thanks go to Helen and Ann for organising and running the Special Morning Tea, and also to Allan, Gwen, Therese and Roger, Pam and all the others involved for the flowers and table decorations. Thankyou also to the `footie fans`. Your enthusiasm was much appreciated and enjoyed by all. Good luck and may your footie team win!
