CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS 2005

The Club celebrated Christmas for 2005 with lunch and light musical entertainment on the 16th of December at Contessa Receptions in Mt. Waverley. Ninety eight of our members attended including a special appearance by Santa Claus alias, Doug Lawrence. Santa was also ably assisted by his two charming helpers, Lorna Bridgland and Julie Kent, for Kris Kringle after the luncheon. The annual celebration concluded with the drawing of lucky door tickets for a Christmas cake and table decorations.

Members enjoyed a drink and chat together in the foyer before moving into the dining room for lunch.

Lorna and Julie welcome members to the 2005 Christmas Luncheon and enjoy a bit of the 'Yuletide spirit' in doing so. Cheers and a Merry Christmas to everybody!

Lunch was served in the large northern dining room. On the menu this year was roast turkey and ham accompanied by vegetables and garden salad followed by the traditional Chrismas pudding, coffee, tea and chocolates. Our hostess for the day, Julie Kent, welcomed everybody to the celebration and lunch was then served.
