Once again we had a great time at Marysville for the 2005 Jazz Weekend and was enjoyed by 34 of our foot tapping members. Like
last year it was a great weekend. One member managed to lock his car keys in the boot of his car. The RACV man couldn't get in
so a second set had to be brought from home by a very obliging relative. Most of our members arrived before lunch, and it was
a gathering of the Clan. Some ate at the restaurant just across the road from the Cumberland for lunch, whilst others
discovered other venues and mingled with the locals visiting the Hobby shop and the Lolly Shop etc. We were blessed with fine
weather although most of the group spent Saturday afternoon in the lounge enjoying the open fire and a game of cards, pool or
Mah Jong. A great meal was provided by the Cumberland on Saturday Night. At 8-00 pm the Hot "B" Hines again entertained us
for four hours with their great Jazz and antics. One of our members confessed that it was the best night she had had for
years! We retired from the dining room around midnight for the night, and were up again around 8-30am for a full English
breakfast. Again the streets of Marysville were trodden by our members' feet visiting either the shops, or Stephenson's Falls,
a delightful four kilometer walk. The weekend was a great time to mingle and talk, and to get to know our other Probus members
in a very relaxed and homely atmosphere. Thanks go to all our members who participated.
