Nick and Gloria Carter welcomed everyone to the 2006 Christmas Luncheon upon entry. Members congregated in the foyer and enjoyed a drink and chat together before moving into the dining room for lunch.
Our celebrations were held in the large northern dining room. On the menu this year was optionally roast turkey and virginian ham or roast pork accompanied by vegetables and garden salad followed by plum pudding, coffee, tea and chocolates.
John and Doug collected donations for the `Special Effort` which will go towards the purchase of a projector for the Club. Lorna,
our Club President, formally welcomed everyone to the function prior to the entertainment and lunch.
Entertainment was supplied by Don and Dave whose comedy antics and music had everyone roaring with laughter and singing along.
Everybody then relaxed and enjoyed the luncheon.

Our President, Lorna Bridgland, wound up the celebration by thanking Gloria and Nick Carter for their particular efforts, and all the people who had kindly donated gifts for the lucky draws and who had contributed to another great Christmas luncheon and wished everybody a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
