Members enjoyed a drink and chat together in the foyer before moving into the dining room for lunch.
Lorna and Julie welcome members to the 2005 Christmas Luncheon and enjoy a bit of the 'Yuletide spirit' in doing so. Cheers and a Merry Christmas to everybody!
Lunch was served in the large northern dining room. On the menu this year was roast turkey and ham accompanied by vegetables and garden salad followed by the traditional Chrismas pudding, coffee, tea and chocolates. Our hostess for the day, Julie Kent, welcomed everybody to the celebration and lunch was then served.
Santa, Lorna and Julie then moved around the tables with the Kris Kringle gifts much to everyone's delight
Margaret thought her Kris Kringle gift from Santa would look good as ear-rings much to the amusement of hubbie Barry and Rodney.
Kathy Youl received a special birthday kiss from Santa! Peter Major is delighted that he won a table decoration!
Our President, Bill Dair, wound up the celebration by thanking Julie and Lorna for their efforts in organising another great Christmas luncheon, his wife Jan for making the Christmas sacks, Maureen Atkins for kindly donating the Christmas Cake, the special appearance of Santa (alias Doug Lawrence) and wished everybody a Merry Christmas and a Happy, Prosperous and Peaceful 2006.
